JJM's Computer SOS rankings (All 124 FBS Teams)

Is this factoring in the SOS of teams they have played or all 12 games?

So Iowas opponents are a combined 22-16 and thats the 79th best SOS??? Well fuck JJM!!! LOL. ( Yeah i know you said stats but I prefer to go by record!!)

I think the reason my program has Iowa at 79 and Sagarin's has them at 52 is because my program currently thinks that Michigan State is overrated. As far as I can tell anyways, that is why this is.

This is only factoring games that have already been played. SOS will change week by week as previous opponents move up or down in the rankings en sech.

I think your computer rankings and stuff is actually pretty impressive. I'm not saying it's super accurate, but I do like how it is unbias. I think this SOS ranking is unbias too. The only one I am confused on is Notre Dame. I figured they would be higher on the list.

Sagarin doesnt count games vs FCS opponents so the "worst" team Iowa has played ( 1-5 UNI) is removed from the equation. That leaves Iowa with a much much better SOS.

Are you sure? He includes FCS schools in his rankings...why wouldn't he include them in SOS then? It would make his FCS schools that are ranked above some FBS schools bogus.

Hmmm, maybe Im not sure. I know alot of the computers dont so I just figured that was why.. Hell Ive been wrong before so wouldnt surprise me LOL

I think 4 of the 6 don't use FCS schools, but I'm pretty sure Sagarin's does. My ranking program doesn't include them.

I don't include FCS schools in my rankings...........but I did include them in my SOS rankings.

I guess I could edit the code to not include them and see what that looks like.

The reason my program has Notre Dame at #35 in SOS is because Michigan is the only opponent they have faced that it thinks is a top 25 team.

Stanford and Michigan State are both seen as overrated right now by the program.

We have had the 96th easiest schedule and have already lost twice At least we have Duke next. They have lost two games and had the 109th easiest schedule
