Man Caught On Video Punching Woman After Jets Game

Jets Rep: People Involved Were Detained, State Police Are Handling Incident

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A man in Jets fan gear was caught on video punching a woman during a brawl outside MetLife Stadium after the game on Sunday.

The video, which was posted on YouTube and Deadspin, shows some men fighting as they exited the stadium. A woman confronts one of the men – clad in a Wayne Chrebet jersey and camouflage pants — and he is seen punching her in the face.

The woman appears to be wearing Patriots gear.

The man who the video to Deadspin, identified by the website as “Rob,” told the site: “Fight started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video. Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn’t see what happened after that.”





Security officers do not appear in the 35-second video.



A Jets team representative said the people involved in the fight were taken into custody.

“We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior,” the representative told CBS 2. “Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”

There was no immediate comment from state police, and there were no reports of charges in the incident as of late Sunday.
