I got to meet him back in '89. Him and Tony Esposito were drinking in a bar i used to hang out in. Espo had just finished up the season as the Pens GM. I said hello to both of them and told them i watched them play as a kid. I went to walk away and JD told me to sit down and lets have a drink together. Got to talk to them for about 15 minutes. Something i will never forget.
