What's wrong with the line "We've made some moves this off-season that will give opportunities to some of our younger guys in the organization and at the same time gives us flexibility to still acquire players that can hopefully make us a better team." Don't even mention the word "playoffs".

how does this work now? so feaster says they will make the playoffs. and if they dont. can he just blame sutter? the failure would be where? last year and the year before it was the GMs fault for the issues with cap and older players. I dont see anything that feaster has done this year to make this team better? maybe younger but not better. having langkow back will be huge if he is fully recovered.

It's just a dumb statement to make, period. I thought this kind of stupidity was reserved for the Oilers and Leafs. Remember when Renney came out with the "I'll be surprised when we don't make the playoffs" comment just before Xmas last season? How did that turn out?

I do like the fact that the team is trying to get younger and seems to be adopting a philosophy where young guys will get a chance to crack the lineup. That really wasn't the case with Dutter.

/If the Flames want to entertain any chance of making the playoffs, JayBo needs to step up his game big-time and Kipper needs to be better.

I just really think JayBlo is not gonna change ... it all boils down to his personality type ... back in the day when my brother was an intern one of his jobs was to get audio from the players post game and it was a running gag that he never looked people in the eye
