Jason Smith - T - Free Agent

Free agent T Jason Smith worked out for the 49ers.

Smith is going to keep getting looks because the former No. 2 overall pick looks good getting off the bus. His play, however, has gotten him cut by three teams in the last year.

I think Sick liked him in the Leonard Davis role as a 6th lineman, and not as a traditional Tackle... But I might be mistaken...

Exactly! Davis played the jumbo TE last year, and he was a damn good one.

Jason Smith has actually played some TE in the past, so he might even be able to fool some people by going out for a pass on some surprise occasion. He's actually really fast for a tackle. I thought he was perfect for the jumbo TE position (along with Terron Armstead in the draft).

I hope the Niners can find a use for him.
