It's probably in his best interest to walk away from the game. He'll get another chance, but he's young and his mental health should be more important.
We all knew it was coming eventually. He just was not right anymore. Hopefully he has enough faculties left that it does not effect the rest of his life adversely. Like everyone said, he has a few bucks too so he can do most anything he wants going forward. I Wish him luck.
Sad news, that was exciting to watch Stafford, Megatron, and Best. If Bush can fill Best's shoes, I'd expect you guys to be right back where you were before he got hurt in 2011. (at least on offense)
I've been against the rule change about RBs not being able to put their heads down. It just dawned on me that Best might be the reason they changed that rule, did he get his concussions from hits he sustained while lowering his head before big hits? If he is the reason for that rule change, I might soften my stance on the new rule... cause I think it sucks his career is over.
Good. Maybe if the guy retires he'll be able to speak in full sentences when he's 40. Getting your bell rung that hard, that often, is God's way of telling you to find something else to do.
