So, the stores open in 4hours and 55 minutes. What is on the shopping list?

In Philly it gets interesting. IF they cannot resign Carle they will in fact have that slotted money available...but for who.

They need to resign Voracek and the other RFA's
That leaves around 7.5 for a defenseman and Jagr or a top six wing or a physical upgrade on the bottom two lines AND a backup goaltender.

Not the deepest "credit limit". Just south of 12 million. Now, if the Flyers do make a trade to shed some more salary (who and how is a mystery) without creating more needs that gets a little better.

I love this day, somehow there is always a shocker or two.

Today is the day Bobby Ryan gets traded to Philly. For whom? We will have to see. I think Homer is waiting for both Parise and Suter to go before he trades for Ryan. My prediction for today.

Well, it's like Christmas morning for me. I'm loving this as this day sort of snuck up on me this year. I haven't so much been signing in here day after day anxiously awaiting it like many of you probably have. We'll see what happens.

Leights would be a back up to the back up plan. I'm cool with this as he did play well enough to take this team to the cup. As a back up he would be fine. Hopefully they find someone else for cheap as well.

This is a bunch of bullshit so far. If we lose out on both Suter AND Parise after having offered the most money for both, it's going to be moderately painful to take.

I do sort of find it difficult to believe that Parise would sign with another Atlantic Division team and then end up sticking it to his old team for years, but it's happened before and then Suter has no real reason not to sign with us.

We are a contending team every year and with them we are a legit Stanley Cup threat why if we offered the most money would they go anywhere else.

Lifestyle, location, feelings towards management/other players, etc. Not everything is about all the money, and I'd say that every offer they are receiving is more than enough to get by.

i actually think it'd be a blessing in disguise.. i dont really want either of them at this point (check the BS thread for more details as to why)

If both contracts are Crosby-esque and fuck the system one last time, I'd happily take them both...otherwise no.

I'm not. :happyshake:

Handing out 10-12 yr deals for players with 5 yrs of effectiveness left is just plain retarded.

All I can think is that there is a clause in these contracts that gives the teams and "out" when their real playing days are behind them..

I hope.
