Brace yourself for some hilarious clock management.

The Chiefs have had a tough early season schedule. Loads of talent on that team though. Should be a tough game.

KC can't pass-block worth a damn.

Also, one of their starting CB's was hurt last night. Sprained knee. Doubtful he'll play Sunday. They are already thin at CB. The guy who replaced Gaines last night was already benched for poor play, and another starter is coming off a 3 game suspension to start the season.

I thought for sure we would be the ones who would end the Chief's streak of not having a WR catch a TD.

I think we have the talent to win this game, but Jeremy Hill has to become a more dominate force in this game for us to not become so one dimensional. Plus, we have to maintain pressure on Alex Smith. We need to find someone to cover Kelce. We need our fans to rock the stadium like they did in week 2. We need to score early and often to make KC one dimensional against our loaded secondary of first round picks, so that Charles doesn't pick us apart on the ground. If we can make KC have to pass with their lack of WR options, and at home in our stadium with our crowd noise, I think we have a damn good chance of winning this game.

For it to get ugly on us, all KC needs to do is help Charles by dominating the line of scrimmage and giving him room to run. If they control the field position, the clock and the line of scrimmage, I think we get beat. I don't want to see Dalton forced to come back like he did in Baltimore against KC's front 7 putting pressure on him.

My big fear about this game is all the positive talk this team is getting in the media. I hope they focus and don't get caught up in reading their press clippings. In year's past, this is when they come out flat, and get beat by a team they should win.

Their QB doesn't scare me at all. He puts up decent numbers but whenever I watch him he'll hit a big play or two that's schemed open and then checks down a ton on 3rd and long. He won't lose them the game but he usually won't win it for them either. The RB is HOF caliber and one of the best all purposes backs in history. The TE is as good as anyone other than Gronk. The second corner got abused last night so if they're getting a solid starter back at that spot its huge for them. I see another close one like the last two weeks but I'd lean with a Bengals win. 24-20

They also lost a starting CB last night to a knee sprain. I would bet he's unlikely to play this week. They may get one guy back, but they lost another guy and he replaced another DB who has already been benched. Their secondary is not a strong point right now.

They get back Sean Smith who's started 31 games for them the last 2 years so that's a true starter. Marcus Peters is their 1st round pick and he plays the other side. Getting back a starter at CB can have a domino effect where everyone was is slotted in a better spot. I don't know much about their secondary but 31 got torched. getting him off the field for a solid starter has to help

I'd throw at Smith all game long. It's his first game back. Let's see if he is in football shape and ready to cover AJ or Jones.

I agree that they will get a slight boost from Peters' return, but Gaines was starting, and it still hurts. It's basically a switch. A thin secondary remains thin, especially when you consider how much the Bengals can spread the defense out. Any way you slice it, it still favors the Bengal. However, they have to take advantage.

The Chiefs are a little desperate right now too at 1-2, but we are at home and as long as things keep clicking, we should be looking at a win. As long as Marvin doesn't hose us with his clock management.

I honestly think we take timeouts in the middle of quarters because Marvin rather get a play right instead of worrying about last minute come backs. He doesn't know what to do with the timeouts at the end of a half, and is so confused that it makes no sense for him to save his timeouts. Kinda of bothersome, but I guess it is what it is.

I am so conflicted with Marvin. On one hand, he has convinced Mike Brown to give him and Tobin more control over personnel, which has led to a deep, quality team that can actually win. Then on the other hand, his game management scares the hell out of me.

So if he was to get fired or quit, who will we have to continue building the depth on this team? I know the logical choice is Tobin, but at some point I think someone is going to offer Tobin a GM position.

I guess I would not be opposed to Tobin staying the Director of Scouting, with Hue being head coach and Zampese stepping in as OC with help from Hue. I don't know. So conflicting.

I wouldn't worry about Marvin leaving. He's not going anywhere. He's coach until he decides he doesn't want to coach anymore.

I realize that is true, but on the other hand, I watch the end of that first half on Sunday and I just feel embarrassment that every other coach in the league could have made the right call and use of his timeouts there. I mean, just look at what Harbaugh was doing. Then the simplest of things couldn't be done by Marvin.

To be fair, he probably isn't used to having that many timeouts, if any, in that situation.
