The score doesn't reflect how badly we were outplayed in this game. Disappointed. Thought we would come out playing better than this after a couple of days off.

Shitty choices throughout the game by too many of our players, too. You can't continue to make mistakes that cause the puck to turn over as often as we do. Even our better players are making those mistakes. Nyquist skates into the Islanders zone in the closing seconds, skates by everybody but a dman waiting in their zone. So, does he play it off the boards to get it deep? Nope, he shoots it into the defenders pads, as Kronwall did from the point about 30 seconds earlier. You're not going to score many goals if you are losing the possession piece throughout the game. 5 goals in 5 games pretty much says much of the story with their struggles.

There seems to be an issue with the chemistry of these lines, some of which were flowing like the currents in the Columbia just a few weeks ago. The teams that we have played of late have implemented a tighter checking system that was the case before when we seemed to have much more space to create plays more easily. Also, the hitting has not been a big part of our delivery in the package of the plan going forward. That's one thing that has stood out to me in these last 4 games, in particular, i.e., the numbers in the hitting department just aren't there. You slow down their progress by putting a body on somebody; I just don't see that now.
