Noticed that everytime I go to that channel it's mostly NHL games or NHL sportstalk. Does NBC have a big contract deal with NHL and going to try and push this?

I think NHL has certainely grown amongst casual fans over the last few years, so getting a good push on a major sports network could be great for the league.

Well, they have the big contract with the NHL. I think the new NBC Sports Network will be great. Not yet going to give ESPN a run for it's money or anything, but NBC has contracts with the NHL exclusively, to a smaller degree the NFL, as well as the Olympics.

yeah, i see the NFL on there too, but mostly dominated by the NHL. which is nice, because there is literally NO NHL on ESPN unless it's a highlight during sportscenter. If it werent for NBC Network I would see no NHL games at all.

Yeah, I'm completely sick of ESPN right now. SportsCenter this morning "NBA, NBA, NBA, Drew Brees, NBA, Drew Brees, NBA, NBA" Rinse, repeat.

It's Comcast taking over the world.

Word. I picked up the NHL and NFL networks a few months ago, haven't looked back since. I'm still trying to figure out why a slam dunk is considered to be more difficult than any hockey or soccer goal (with a goalie). The only thing I really enjoy on ESPN is Skip Bayless. Love him or hate him, he's fun to watch.

It kills me how often dunks are in the top plays. Like, a really good oop and slam is fun in the moment, and I'd let it go to top plays, but seriously? A dunk? They're 6'9'', and have 24'' vertical.
