Always been a Stricker fan. I wonder what he's said to tiger?
Talent-wise I might go with Dustin Johnson. The nickel brain is always going to hold him back though.
When a few of you refer to Jimmy Furyk as a choker, why is that? Because of the ryder cup in Chicago? I can't recall Jimmy choking a lot. I mean, sometimes you just miss an easy putt or shot, but that doesn't mean you didn't make 3-4 crazy good shots to get into contention.
If you were to take 5 guys for a US Open pool, you'd be crazy not to take Jimmy Furyk. He's one of the most consistent player on fast green, deep rough, and tight fairways. Someone go post his last 10 US Open finishes.
Yep. And did you see how he choked it away in the last round?Anybody see where Jimmy furyk is on the pebble beach leaderboard?
Yeah, that ship has sailed I'm afraid.I'm still waiting for my boy Stricker to finally crack the ice but that is getting more improbable the older he gets.
All things being equal, I usually root against fat people but Patrick reed is ver impressive. he plays gutsy golf and doesn't choke under pressure.
He will need at least 1 major to get out from under his comments. Me and the golfing Gods love confidence with a sprinkle of humility. But we don't arrogance with a dash of disrespect.
But he has plenty of time to right the ship.

In Reed's particular case, yes. Losing 4 strokes to par over the last 4 holes with the lead including missing an 18 inch putt? What would you call it?Monta you think everyone chokes huh?
Stenson has to be on the list.
Spieth wasn't on it for long. The challenges now begin for him though...we're going to really find out how much he wants to be a great player.
Got the Under Armour contract extended for 10 yrs (got to be a min of $5 mil+ per), now with a major...his endorsement income will be north of $20 mil per year.
How much will golf matter?
I was just thinking I left off Stenson.. I guess we will find out with Spieth. I don't think he's going to fall off the map like Rory did after switching to Nike for $100 million.
To be honest...I would be a total hypocrite if I blasted a player for slacking off after hitting it big.
Human nature...you bust your ass to get to the top and you do it...reaping the good fortune is hard to resist.
At least on the surface, he seems like a good kid...if his hanger on buddies get lives of their own, he will probably do okay...10-15 wins with 2-3 majors. Idt he's the next Tiger...or even Phil...guys with 30+ wins will be rare in this new era.
