That I'm already looking forward to next years draft and FA period and this season hasn't even started yet? Next years FA class is gonna be alot stronger than this year. Really deep in center too, that is good for the Sabres team that will be losing T. Connolly to FA. Maybe we can finally adress our glaring need at center...

the draft next year is supposed to be less top heavy, but deeper.

fwiw, my source for that is Mike Gillis, and he might have been saying that to justify trading away his #25 pick.

That is why I was so interested in banking cap space for moves at the deadline. 9 million in July is close to 28 million at the end of February and I like next years calss, and by tangent, this coming years trade deadline players.
