Pretty much everything about the '80s was gay.
Get out of town! You callin' these studs gay?!?

I don't know if he was so much gay as maybe too awesome for your average human. Like Prince. Hella gawesome.
I am not asking whether or not Bowie was homosexual in his sexual orientation (in actuality, he could be said to be bisexual, though that may or may not be true- I think he was interested in just women).
What I am asking is if you consider his act, his mannerisms, and his music "gay."
For example, Freddie Mercury is fucking awesome (Queen is probably my second favorite rock act after Bowie). He was also most certainly gay, whether you were talking about his act, his mannerisms, or his music. Elton John is one of my favorite singers- and (in addition to being attracted to men) his entire act was gay.
So please understand that I do not mean it as a pejorative or put-down. Bowie is my second favorite musical artist of all time, and I do not care whether or not he was actually homosexual.
Ok, if this isn't making any sense, imagine this scenario.
Person A: Want to go grab dinner and then see the George Michael concert?
Person B: Uhhhh, dude, you do realize that we're not dating.
Now, replace "George Michael" with "Led Zeppelin" in the first scenario. Completely reasonable question, and Person B likely says yes without thinking twice.
Where does "David Bowie" fall in on this George Michael/LedZeppelin concert scenario scale?
No one would ever DREAM of starting a thread asking if these guys were gay or not:
Bowie is probably one of the most overrated performers of his generation.
Some decent songs, but it he didn't drink jizz and look like a woman, he'd have flamed out a long time ago.
Probably some hot girl undress. One of the guys is about to hand her a new pair of panties soon. After all, she's completely comfortable getting naked in front of those flamersdaHELL are they lookin' at???
