It's interesting because there were guys that were better but had briefer stints (Hernandez, Carter, Straw, Doc etc).

Guys staying and playing their entire career with the team that drafted them has become a rarity lately.

There won't be too many more of the likes of him in the future.

Unfortunately the injuries have cost him a few years...but I knew if he was never traded he would eventually retire as a Met and become the face of the franchise....at least for the current era.

There could be a front office shakeup looming...

Jeff Wilpon discusses GM search

Not a bad 2nd half for the Mets. If they can finally build a bull pen and add a good CF and/or catcher there's no reason they can't compete next year. The Cespedes thing sucks but they know he'll be out and can plan accordingly.

Agreed.
Cespy should be back near the AS break, or shortly after.
I already can't wait for spring training.

Good luck on Wednesday Btw.

Not getting my hopes up so I'm saying after ASB. I have to be honest, I had completely forgotten about Lowrie.

Agree on the Yo situation.

As far as Lowry goes...getting him into the mix in the coming weeks will be a huge boost to the lineup. (almost like making a mid season upgrade acquisition) Nice asset to have....dude is not only versatile, but he brings much needed veteran leadership...ie: Cano & Frazier.

Keeping my fingers crossed that there won't be any setbacks concerning either one...but if so, hopefully it'll just be minimal.
