Congrats for now. I don't know if your pitching was so lights-out or our offense was so abysmal. either way, impressive wins! :suds:

Starting pitching has been solid for years, I think they are that good. But as you can see, the guys that pitch after the starters are not so fortunate. 4 runs given up by the bullpen lastnight. Eventually the bats will cool down and we won't have 8 run leads to make up for their lack of skill.

Yeah, you'll get deep into the rotation and bullpen and then David Wright will get injured. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Haha, nice. I'm enjoying this while it lasts. Unfortunately we don't have the depth to maintain this for a full season.

Putting my rooting interests aside, Citi is light years better than New Yankee stadium. Like you said, much more personal. New Yankee feels way too sterile, it's like a museum. I haven't sat in my seat for more than an inning or 2 at Citi though, I'm constantly on the move checking that place out, watching the game from different areas of the stadium. 7 train is an experience as well.

Would love to see it. Used to take the train out to Shea back in 1993/4 when I lived in Brooklyn. Also went to Yankee a time or two. They had Cecil Fielder back then. Petco Park is similar in that you could spend an afternoon just touring the place. I'm cure Citi is amazing.

Not a bad start for the Metropolitans. Matt Harvey is legit. Just stay healthy.

What has gotten into John Buck? Did anyone see this coming? Not I! Might make it harder for d'Arnaud to make his case but you would think Buck's gotta taper off soon.

I'll take it. If nothing else it increases his trade value and we can move him at the deadline. I'd take anything, mediocre outfielder, random relief pitcher. He's not the long term solution so get what we can for him. In the meantime I'll enjoy what he's doing.
