you are bringing up previous games, teams change in the 2nd half of season like our run defense. You don't know if the offense would be stuck in neutral the whole season. We would of had a better chance in scoring points than the three that played for us. You are actually arguing that those three qb could of put up or put more points on the board that Smith. That is just ridiculous. Any Redskins fan who thanks that is just nuts. maybe McCoy could of did it b/c he was our in our offense for a while but once he went down our season was over.
Yes I do know , have you watched any film at all ?

we had the lead, of course we weren't going to beat them but with Smith we probably could. That is what I was saying to skinsdad. Im saying with Smith we had a better chance to win.

Smith's play, at least stat-wise, was regressing. He simply wasn't getting any better as the season went on, dean. There was a play here or a play there, Smith's 5 yd TD pass to PR against Carolina was a damn good play and great pass by AS, but by and large. He never looked comfortable as a Skins QB.

Our offensive good fortune was more a product of AP's running and getting out to an early lead. And up to the second he got injured. Smithe never showed any indication that he could rally the Skins once they fell behind in the score.

Was the chance for the Skins to beat Hou, Dallas, etc greater with Smith at QB instead of Colt, Sanchez or Johnson? Perhaps, but Smith never gave us any indication of that with his play this season.

Your point is just dumb . You spent all off season selling me tha CDC was the answer. Now you move the goal posts yet again to say “ we would have lost those games but we would have had a better chance with CDC “. Come on !

The FO panicked , made a trade they didn’t need to make , and we are at 7-9 despite making the trade for the greatest winner to grace pro football

Anyone who watched any film can tell you CDC is. A game manager. But you hyped him as a HOF er

It's really simple. Alex was brought here to WIN football games.

Thru the first 10 games as our QB, he was 6-4. That makes 8 straight WINNING season's in a row as a starting QB in this league, think about dem apples...all other stat stuff is just nonsense, and crying about what some think was lost. Any game you play is about winning. It's really, that simple.
So you are comfortable with Alex as our QB going forward? You have faith he can lead this team to the playoffs and beyond, assuming he can still walk next year?

That isn’t what he said. He actually said, based on AS play, there is no reason to believe that.
He doesn’t watch film , he just throws things out there . His actual play suggest he wouldn’t have done better

all I know is that your boy is out of the playoffs. At least we had an excuse with the injures. There is no excuse for Minn.

Same as your boy and my boy had the same amount of injuries with this team as yours

Comfortable right now? No. I’m not sure Alex will ever play again at this point. But if he does come back healthy? Then yes, I would be at ease knowing he’s our starting QB for the next year or two and would lead this team to the playoffs…He was on track to do that this season wasn’t he?

But, we definitely need to draft a QB and develop him under Alex and Colt.

No, he wasn't. He has a drag on any success we did have early. I saw no signs of him either grasping the offense or having the arm strength to stretch the field.

Thank you, G. I thought I got the gist of that rationale across fairly well with the mention of Smith's regressing play. And tabbing AP and getting the lead first as our best/most effective offensive weapons.

There are plenty of excuses for Minnesota.

Minnesota had injuries on the OL.
Poor OL play.
How about a new OC, that got fired late in the season because Minnesota had the worst run game in football and the HC wanted to run more.

Again - comments about team doing well & getting 6 wins early & that injuries alone were their downfall.

I call bullshit. Except for win vs Boys they beat 5 horrible teams - record wise 5 of the worst in the NFL.

In most of the other losses they were blown out & would have been w/ Smith @ QB - or w/ Cousins for that matter.

Face facts - this team sucks rt now - with or without Smith. Thanks Bruce Allen.
