General consensus (from what I can tell) is this team isn't winning because of lack of offensive output. TV, radio, papers, here, everywhere. It's certainly one thing many seemed to agree on even if their conclusions as to why differed greatly. Anyway, a stat the Kings broadcast showed the other night got me curious.
Pre-All Star Break GF/G - 2.66
Post-All Star Break GF/G- 2.58
Difference- .08
Pre-All Star Break GA/G - 2.28
Post All Star Break GA/G- 3.04
Difference- .76
Stats can be deceiving, so much factors into all those goals/games, but I find these numbers thought provoking to say the least with the team playing as badly as they have since late January. Obviously they need to score more than they give up to win, but it certainly surprised me to see that SJ scored about the same amount when they were playing better (not good or anything, just winning more), but are giving up considerably more since the break.
