Defense is the key to the playoffs in ALL of the major sports, and it's pretty obvious why. The good offenses and offensive players build their stats all year long playing bad teams or bad defenses, often in mid season games that don't 'matter' that much. But when the playoffs come around every team is good, and every team is playing hard every night. So the guy with the big stats rarely produces as well, especially game after game.

This past Super Bowl was a perfect illustration...Peyton Manning and the Broncos' historically good offense came in there and got completely waxed. I'm still kicking myself for not betting that game, how were they favored? If the Broncos had played defenses as good as Seattle's all year they wouldn't have set any records for offense.

So back to the Ws, it is a good thing that they are actually a good defensive team now, and that is why they have a good shot at winning their first playoff series even though they will be a 6th seed. It shows how important the fragile Aussie is, when he's in there they match up with almost anyone.

But the NBA is the league with the least playoff 'surprises'. The 1 or 2 seeds almost always make the Finals. The Ws aren't there yet, but next year with their young players a year older and hopefully a better bench, maybe they will be in the mix. This year anyone can see it's either Miami or Indiana vs San Antonio or OKC (or outside chance the Clippers) in the Finals.

I might sound like a homer but I like warriors over clippers because clips are the 11th best defensive team. Which is not great

Actually I'm in total agreement, they match up well with the Clippers which is why I think they win their first playoff series if they are the 6 and the Clips are the 3. If they get SA or OKC they will have lots of trouble.

These #'s are probably skewed because CP3 missed 3-4 weeks.

I like the DUbs in the 1st round against anyone.

2nd round and beyond depends on our health.
