Injuries killing Falcons

After losing Kroy Bierman, one of our better and most versatile defensive players, and fullback Bradie Ewing for the season, now Sean Weatherspoon is on the IR designated to return and Jackson could miss up to four weeks.

Things are not overly great in Atlanta.

The news on Spoon came out of nowhere...Biermman is versatile, but imo Massaqoui can fill that role but Spoon & Sjax I'm not sure they can replace them with comparable talent.

Yeah I didn't even know Spoon was hurt at all, and I consider him our best defender. SJax leaves a HUGE hole on offense where it already looked like we were gonna struggle running it.

Antone Smith can play...maybe he gets a few reps, but Spoon...that's tough...imo he IS the best player on DEF....the Bartu kid did look pretty good...they will survive it...the one guy that cannot afford lose is Julio.

Losing Spoon is big. I don't even think the Rams tried to target Cook and Spoon is always big against the run.

Saints are in the driver's seat in that division

We'll just have play the rest of the season with what we've got. The Falcons made a big mistake by not going after any OL or DL talent. So now we're hurting there and everywhere else as well.

We'll lose several games in the trenches. Ryan can't throw with his back on the turf.

Once again the Falcons still have not learned that:

1. You must have a good OL and DL because NFL games are won and lost in the trenches.

2. You don't sit on a lead in the NFL. EVER.

No excuses. We win or lose with what we've got. That's the bottom line.

The offense should be fine when Roddy is 100% (obviously we won't be as good without SJax but we should be able to move the ball regardless). Losing our best player on defense hurts a lot especially since they are a mediocre unit when everyone is healthy.
