I think that well is pretty dry right now, all our good youngsters are playing with the bigboy's. We still have a couple down there with talent, just not enough to carry that team..

Actually, JvR is on the hot seat to go down. They even interviewed Briere about his early career minor league stints. I think they may keep Wellwood and Nodl up and send him down by THursday.
As for the Phantoms record, I don't really have issues with that. Look at all the youth on the NHL team. You can't expect a team populated by 22-26 year olds to have a phenomanla AHL team.

It really gives you an idea how much depth we have offensively as a team when you see JvR with zero goals in 13 games this season yet we are still scoring a solid amount of goals as a team (tied for 3rd in the Nhl in total goals). Also, 13 other players have scored at least a goal for us and 10 of them have scored 3 or more goals! JvR should be one of those 10!

Do whatever you have to do to him to wake him up!

He'll wake up he's young and will have his growing pains. G was up and down last year but you could just see him coming on especially in the playoffs. JVR will get into the groove and hopefully contribute this season in the playoffs when the Flyers really need him. Next year he'll be a terror!
