Well CK and I used to make it fun by drinking every time a team scored, got a first down, had a penalty, turned the ball over, made a tackle, snapped the ball, etc..

Thursday night games can be great. It just makes the college football season longer and quite often a key game is played near the end of the season. Ohio over Michigan regardless of whether it's central, eastern, or western.
