I'm with you. My dad said he only had two questions..."Who are you rooting for?" and "Who do you think is going to win?" I answered Seattle to both questions. My dad's answers were Seattle and Denver, and those were the same answers he got from others he knew at church today.
I responded..."You never root against the Hawks!!!!!"
I think the final score stunned everybody. I mean, even the most homerific Seahawks fan couldn't have predicted 43-8 and most non-Seahawks fans, if presented with that score, would have assumed that Denver had the 43. Hell, even I thought that Denver would get their share of points but that the Seahawks would still do enough on offense, defense and special teams to win. That the Hawks had Denver shutout going into the final seconds of the third quarter was the best of all best-case scenarios you could have laid out. It was fantastic.
I am not stunned at all, this is how I saw the game playing out. I knew they would not be able to run on us and that they would not be able to throw deep. I did, however, think they would score more than 8 points. I thought they would score 10.
