To think, I was just a young 16 years old when I first met Mingo on the mouthoff message board.

I should have smashed you like a serpent's egg.

I'm old enough to remember...

Electronics: The original Nintendo is the first real electronic device I remember playing on a regular basis.

A Coke costs: Probably 50 cents.

The toy I remember playing with the most was: I had the TMNT blimp and van as a kid. So I remember going crazy with those. Legos were also a pretty big part of my childhood.

On Sunday afternoon, we sat around the _backyard_____ and _______did family projects_______.

When I wanted to talk to a friend, I: Well elementary and middle school probably just went to their house since I lived in a small town and most of them were within a few blocks of me. In high school messaged them on MSN Messenger

Gasoline costs: Seems like it was right around a dollar. AS a little kid was below it but high school definitely started getting pretty pricey. 9/11 happened my freshman year of high school so yeah gas prices went through the roof.

My favorite Saturday morning tv show was: TMNT

The tooth fairy gave me: A dollar I think? I do remember though catching my parents in the act and them paying me to keep my mouth shut so I didn't tell my sisters.

I got to school by: Parents drove me as a kid then drove in high school

My dad drove a: 1972 Ford F-150. Bought it brand new when he was just getting out of high school and kept it to pass down to his kids.

My mom typically made _____Goulash _______ for dinner.

The memory that will truly age me is: Well I remember in high school using the pay phone at the high school to call my parents to pick me up after sporting events before I had a car.

Electronics: I remember the tail end of the Atari, we had one, but my era was more of the Nintendo game, Super Mario Bros and Tecmo Bowl.

A Coke costs: 50 cents seems right, depends on where you got it from and the size.

The toy I remember playing with the most was: My football. I would run outside and throw the ball up to myself if my brother or a friend weren't around. I bet the cars driving by thought I was a special kid, but hey it was great exercise and I was a few steps ahead of my grade on the football field because of it.

On Sunday afternoon, we sat around the _tv___ and ______watched football_______. (I also went to church every Sunday)

When I wanted to talk to a friend, I: Called them on the phone... Went over to their house/had them come over to mine. Whatever...

Gasoline costs: 1.19- 1.29

My favorite Saturday morning tv show was: College GameDay

I got to school by: A bus or my mom

My dad drove a: Diesel truck

My mom typically made _____Not one thing stuck out, a lot of Hamburger helper

The memory that will truly age me is: Hmmm, using a phonebook when you needed to contact someone?
Watching Full House and Family Matters on a Friday Night?

Ha! So you're also in your mid-thirties, eh?

Thought this might be fun. Post what you are old enough to remember (earliest memories) for the following categories. Should give us an idea of just how old some of you are.

I'm old enough to remember...

Electronics:

A Coke costs:

The toy I remember playing with the most was:

On Sunday afternoon, we sat around the ______ and ______________.

When I wanted to talk to a friend, I:

Gasoline costs:

My favorite Saturday morning tv show was:

The tooth fairy gave me:

I got to school by:

My dad drove a:

My mom typically made ____________ for dinner.

The memory that will truly age me is:
Well, I thought it might be fun to answer this stuff, but, unfortunately, my answer to most of these statements would be that "I don't remember." A couple that I can answer, however, will give you an idea of my age, to wit:

Electronics: What the hell is an electronic?

My favorite Saturday morning tv show was: Mighty Mouse.

Gas Prices: My first memory is how unhappy my parents were when gas prices WENT UP TO $0.32/gal.

My dad drove a: Converted old ambulance from the '50's. His second car was the same as @Orange Crush77 's above, a "wood paneled station wagon, and the back seat facing the rear window."

I'd try to answer the other questions, but I think I need a nap now.
