Chattanooga- W
Fresno State- W
Washington- W
@Wyoming- W
@Wisconsin- L
Ohio State- W
@Minnesota- W
Michigan State- close but W
Northwestern- close but W
@Penn State- possible loss
@Michigan- possible loss (you people are going to go crazy but this is probably the scariest of all games for me)
Iowa- W
Big 10 title game- L (if we play Wisconsin again)

That is why I have 3 losses. Until Bo can prove he can get a team to not beat themselves in at least one game every year and get the penalty problem under control, we will lose 3 games this year. Plus we have to actually develop a back up QB for when Taylor gets hurt because he will get injured.

LOL@ fearing a team with spread players in a pro style offense while at the same time having a horrible defense

one great thing about pelini is that we never have to fear an offense...except our own that is :L but seriously, with him we never have to fear one. we can be worried bout one, but never fear it

yeah, im a firm believer in the "its near impossible to beat a team twice in one year" rule. so technically...i guess i almost want nebraska to lose the first game. as stupid as that sounds :L :L :L :L

Sounds pretty reasonable Jed. I'm not completely sold on OSU being crap this year, if they get a QB to step up they will be a handful

I don't think OSU will be crap either. I am just looking at where it falls in the schedule. I see us going to Madison and losing. Pelini has show a pretty good job the week after coming off a loss. Add in Bo wanting to beat his alma mater and the first Big 10 home game. I just think it sets up well for us.

The toughest games I think we have this season are Washington cause of the bowl loss.
Wis.
Ohio St.

If we make it this far and are still undefeated, heck if we make it past Wis undefeated I think we go undefeated this season.

Mich could do something but they again have a new coach and the last three HC they have hired have progressively gotten worse.

Iowa in the early season would be someone to watch out for but by the time we get to them they start losing and have problems winning without a long break.
Mich St Almost does something and then stumbles every year. They are the Not as good as OSU of the B10

Penn St could do a bit but were down last year but the kind of program we are looking to build wins these games and are very consistent in top notch play. We want to play with the mark on our back as THE team on the schedule that everyone is looking to gun down.

Our offense was amazing early? Did you watch our offense in the SDSU game? How was the offense in that game that I can't remember the opponents name ;) that was between K St and Okie St? Our offense was amazing because of the caliber of defense we were playing.

It was amazingly offensive.

Nebraska will lose at Madison but will run the table with a little luck with some close victories. Badgers go undefeated but Nebraska gets a pay back in the championship game. I don't think a 1 loss team will be in the NC game though.

Every year

Like Redtill said, I also think it will be hard to predict our new season based off just what our defense can do. Tenn Chat. are pussies but Fresno St never goes down without a fight, Pat Hill is a hell of a coach, as well as Sarkisian. If we run into trouble from the OC schedule the results may not all be that different from the rest of our season

I do not think we will lose in Madison.
I live in MN and based on what I have seen over the last 20 years the conf. we came from was much tougher top to bottom. And there is a big diff. that happens very quickly in the top 4 teams and the rest of the conf. MN has had a problem with DII schools for over a decade. I think we have a decent shot at going undefeated this year but anything more than 2 losses means we took a big step backwards in the off season. D is what Neb. has been about in the past and is now but we have to be able to depend on our O to both hold onto the ball and score a certain decent amount of pts a game which we haven't had since we got our D back.

T-Mart I thought was still hampered, has that changed? Based on the Spring game I would rather have the frosh QB that lit it up for us be the starter. At least he can both run and pass. T-Marts biggest asset is his legs cause without a lot of work passing he has shown he is not very good if he cannot run. We need a QB that includes the whole team and can take a on more if needed. If T-Mart could pass decently he would be a real star.

T-Magic did spend some time with a QB coach this summer, and has been actually listening to some coaching since the end of last year (something he supposedly didn't do before)

we'll see if he's improved, but he really only needs to improve a little bit to be the QB we need.

I am glad to hear that he is taking this seriously. If he could show in a game or two that he could pass well like he did in the OSU game that will make teams have to really prepare for us as a whole. Not just if a back or T-Mart is going to run. I heard from someone that he has turf toe and that that kind of thing can be very persistent. Have you heard anything about that?

What I would like to see is a QB kind of like Frazier was with a little bit better arm. Last year I do not think T-Mart liked what Watson was doing and could take him out of the game by running but he has to include the other team members more and hold them accountable for their jobs and he cannot be calling people during a game he has to be totally in the game not partway.

We ran Taylor too much last year..........that is my opinion. After that Kansas State game I was already thinking he was gonna get hurt eventually. It might sound stupid, but defenders like to hit QBs even harder than they hit other players. They're not stupid, they know the impact that it has on a game (or season) to take a QB out.

Also, ultimately I think Watson relied so much on that zone read that teams knew it was coming 95% of the time. At the start of the season we had defenses on their heels because we had one of the fastest players in the country and nobody ever knew when he was gonna run. Towards the 2nd half of the season it was too easy to see coming...........shit it was the only play we ran.

turf toe can be persistent, but usually isn't, and I've heard everything from Taylor still having a severe limp, to him being perfectly fine, so I guess we'll see on that one.

Out of our OOC I worry more about Fresno State than Washington. After last year every player better come out with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. This is gonna be an old fashioned ass whoopin

Thanks for the info

On the predictions. If we do lose a game I do not think we make the NC. I do think we are in a better place on the O this year based on the spring game. Sounded like we have a pretty competent kid in as a back up right now. I forget his name but as I recall he is related to Tommie Frazier and was the QB for the same HS as Frazier.

It would be Great if we did make the NC and have OU make it also. Bring back the Rivalry on the national stage now with the same meaning as b4.
