I think if Nebraska beats Illinois, Penn State, and Purdue at home here in the next couple of weeks.........he should definitely be somewhere in that discussion.

If he pulls off a couple more wins along with those, he should seriously be the front runner.

I just saw in Walter Pitchford's presser today that he has a 42.5 inch vertical......

A 6'10" guy with a 42.5 inch vertical........holy shit. That guy should be leading the league in rebounding for shit sake.

Pitchford and Shields both said in their pressers that despite our view of them being a young team and setting the sights on the NIT, their goal is NCAA Tournament. Said they worked all summer long with that goal, and at 4-6 in the Conference there is no need to believe they can't make it.

I like to hear that. As a fan, I don't think we will make it.....but if they believe they will, that is all that matters.

I hate to keep bagging on the guy, but if Pitchford really wanted this team to make the tourny, he would have lived in the weight room. it seems like all he did was practice the pick and pop. Yes, he's hit some threes lately bu he is streaky and when he goes cold he's a 6'10 40" verticle waste of playing time.
