This was in an article on huskerextra.com, I just cut out the piece that I thought was awesome.....if any of you can figure out what play this was and in what game I'll give you a rep....cuz I don't know what play it is and I wanna figure it out!
Nebraska defensive back Austin Cassidy recalls an in-game decision by Pelini a couple seasons ago that affirmed Pelini's expertise, in Cassidy's mind.
"We had never practiced any of it," Cassidy says. "But he inserted (safety) Matt O'Hanlon in the game with our two other safeties and told him to line up over the center and as soon as they snapped the ball, to drop back and the quarterback would throw it right to him.
"In my mind, I was thinking, ‘No way it's going to happen.'"
You know the result. O'Hanlon dropped back and snared the fluttering pigskin.
Yes, Bo knows defense. Same goes for Carl Pelini, the Huskers' defensive coordinator. The entire defensive staff has achieved a high comfort level in Year 3 together, Carl says.
