Baseball-Reference.com has long used a system to generate web addresses for individual players whereby the first five letters of the player's last name are combined with the first two letters of the player's first name. For example, the B-R.com page for Jason Kipnis includes "kipnija" in the web address.

Seems harmless enough until it was realized that when you use that formula for Kevin Youkilis, who happens to be Jewish, you get "youkike."

B-R.com changed the formula for Youk and it now skips the "I" and goes straight to the "L." youklke.
