Looks like Talib has a former teammate already on the Rams who won SB 50 with Talib. That being the corner Kayvon Webster. Speculation from teammates suggest we picked-up Talib to shut down Garoppolo. Maybe that last game of the season got some coaches attention.

NFL players react to Broncos trading Aqib Talib to Rams
I was thinking the same thing, Garoppolo torched the Rams and a lot of other teams defenses too and the Rams have to face him twice. Webster and Talib on the same field again. Nice pick up.

Correction: Garappolo threw 2 INTs against the Rams second and third team defenses. The only defensive starters to play in that game were S Johnson and slot CB NR-C. Other than perhaps some OL and Everett, that was it for anything close to 1st teamers in week 17.

It seemed like Garappolo "torched" teams because he threw for solid yardage, but he only threw 7 TDs vs 5 INTs.

Okay maybe torched goes a bit far but he threw for almost 300 yds and had two TDs and the Rams lost 34-13. He may not be another Brett Farve but he is good and the niners will be good next season so it's not enough to just stay good the Rams have to get better at what they struggled with last season. Stacking up on pass coverage is wise considering the level of talent in the NFC.

Jimmy G, torched a shitty backup squad of the rams.....nothing to see here move along.... I'll believe the hype when i see him go against the #1s and do the same thing, otherwise he's just another Brock Osweiler in the nfc west until i see a full season.

Just saw other posters stated the same thing. Ya a few games at the end of the year does not a season make!!! Hopefully the 9ers overpaid for a one hit wonder!!!!

JG is not as good as his #'s suggest LY, nor is he as bad as a one hit wonder some here want to make Garop out to be IMO. Especially working under the talented and innovative former HC in Mikey S.

What is good, we will have Jimmy hopefully doing well vs SEA and ARZ and taking two loses vs the stout Ram DB's.

I'll take that everyday!

Supposedly, Ogletree is trying to recruit the Honey Badger to the Giants...

Yep, we now face Maurice twice a year and Sherman went to the Whiners for twice a year. So, we don't get any relief from these players.
