Ah good point, for some reason I thought this was the year Kovy jumped to 11 mil. Apologies. And yes its definately ownership based... at least from the teams end. I would suspect however if zachs wants to stay he's going to find a way to stay so my money is on it depending not solely, but greatly on winning from zachs end.

Also don't forget Marty comes off the books this year as well, and even if he stays I think he won't be making more than a mil, as a give back to the club, not based on performance at all but to simply help balance things out for the money situation.

God I hope peltz buys our debt.

He'll get more than a mil because he has to keep paying his ex wife. I guess Zach would take less money to stay, but how much can you reasonably expect him to give back? This is going to be the biggest/most important contract of his career and he sat here and watched ownership give Kovy 100M. Even if he sees himself as less valuable than Kovy, how do we not pay him $80M???

They could give him a 10yr/7.5m per season contract.

Nothing that can be done about it then. I'd rather take one last run at the cup if we're in the playoffs.

I remember before the season started, we listed our concerns and I mentioned goaltending. Everybody was like goaltending is not a worry at all, but I was disagreed especially given the fact that both guys are around 40.

Anyway, back to the subject.
I don't mind Fayne. Right now, we don't have too many options on defense.
Salvador in my opinion has been solid especially lately. His blocked shots have come at key times and even saved few games.
Tallinder to me has been a positive influence on our most important defenseman, Larsson.
Greene before his injury was having a terrible season. I guess if we had to dump somebody, I would vote for him.
Still waiting for that big shot and goal from the point from Foster. I will give him an incomplete before wishing he was gone.

I'll admit I'm a little suprised by the fayne heat, I think he's taken leaps and bounds from last year

More shocked than Tallinder hasn't been getting the luv he deserves, i would vote for him as one of our best Dmen this season(came on last season too)
