I am surprised that the leading rusher in the country, on an 8-1 tram doesn't get any love. Eh, maybe next season.

I think a lot of it has to do with the eye test though. Micheal Dyer for instance, my uncle is an Auburn fan and he's always talking about how he doesn't understand why Dyer isn't talked about like Richardson as far as the Heisman goes. I think it's because these other backs go out there and follow their blocks and juke and jive their way for some yards, but I think a lot of people, myself included are stuck on the way a RB like Richardson actually runs the ball. He separates himself from the others because of the pure physicality that he carries the ball with, not to mention he never turns the ball over, he blocks great on pass plays, and he catches out of the backfield like a receiver. If I'm not mistaken, most of Richardsons yards come after contact, and I think people see that, and that's why he gets more love than other backs. I haven't watched your guy run the ball this year, so I can't judge him, these are just my thoughts on why Richardson gets so much love.

I was unaware that Alabama and Wisconsin were considered to be part of the West Coast. Thank you for that enlightening geography lesson.

1) It's a joke.

2) Your top 3 are all from the West.

Havent watched the heisman since peyton got 'heisman raped' in '97 to Woodson. The only defender to ever win a Heisman :L

Woodson was the best player in America that year by a wide margin. His defense had to keep opponents under 21 almost every week, and he helped them do just that. He made about 4-5 outstanding plays every game, and he almost never had passes completed on him. Honestly, I think he had the best individual season that I can remember a person having (going back to about 1995ish). That's one that the Heisman got right, and it really shouldn't have been as close as it was.

I guess if Richardson doesn't do at least as well as LMJ did against LSU then we can put his Heisman hopes away like the nation did to LMJ right?

Yes I based those picks on geography alone....

or maybe it's because

Luck belongs on top. Best college QB.
Moore - Kid is just unreal and has been for 4 years.
LMJ - 2d leading rusher in 150+ ypg and can still lead the nation in rushing even after missing almost 2 full games. Has 9 yards per carry.

Yep all because of geography.

If LMJ plays in every game, he's easily in the discussion. Has there ever been a player win the Heisman after missing games?
