Rough season last year. The first four months, by Julio standards, were clearly subpar. Only a hot streak in the last six weeks allowed him to salvage the season with somewhat decent stats. So let's forget the first four months and focus on the last six weeks, and assume that is our guy going forward:
Figuring he continues to improve in the three seasons through the ages 24-26, he could reasonably compile the following stats over those three years prior to free agency:
Runs 315
HR 105
RBI 315
BA .285
SB 90
Add to that, three All Star selections, and possibly one, two, oor three Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers.
So, the question has been throwing about as to who could be MLB's first $1 billion guy. Could Julio have been that guy?
