I just personally think Jagr would score a max of 30 goals and at best 70 points total. I see what you guys are saying and honestly would hope he would do that well, I just dont think he could.
Now if he re-grew the famous mullet......anything is possible. BTW....Wings just scored.

He's still got legitimate talent, and I think he's still got the ability to take over a game if he needs to. I don't think he's got the speed to be electric, but he still protects the puck like few others in the world, and his shot is still good.

If he came back, I'd have him inked in for 25 goals if he stayed healthy. 30 or more is a definite possibility, though. I wouldn't expect a point/game pace or anything, but 25-30 goals and 35-45 assists is plausible on a good team. On an average or bad team (and I don't think he'd sign with any team that wasn't a contender) I'd say 20-25 goals and 25-35 assists.

If Guerrin is still good for 20+ I would say 30 is not a stretch in the least. Heck Recchi almost hit 20 and he is 42 and was never the caliber of Jagr.

Guerin has Malkin and Crosby to play with, I think that would help him a little bit.

I just have insecurities of a player coming back to the NHL the way he is, and being how old he is, because of the way the Forsberg saga played out, and it really turned into a mess for the Flyers as he aged

I see where you are coming from but Forsberg was hurt a lot in his last years in the league. I think other than chronic groin issues with Jagr.....hes still in great shape. I do hope we find out next year tho!

Can anyone find a picture of Jagr wearing that mask in the locker room that was of a cartoon looking chick with blonde hair?

Anyone even know what I'm talking about? This was YEARS ago on the Pens.

I definitely would if, as he said, he would be willing to play for the Pens for a lesser amount of money. Of course, due to his gambling issues, I'm inclined to think that's bullshit, but people can change.

And people might be underestimating Jags a little. Let's not forget that the Wrecking ball put up 68 points (24g, 44 a) on Sid's wing at the age of 38. I think Jagr can do the same.

Seeing Recchi's numbers are making me think a bit more. I still say he stays under 30 goals but leaning for more assists than I originally thought of at 35. Assuming he comes back to Pittsburgh. Damn, I hope he comes back!

Yeah...I mean, as Recchi was doing at the time, Jagr would benefit a lot from the PP. But Andy effing Hilbert had 18 points in 19 games on Sid's wing, and Colby Armstrong had 40 points in 47 games. Not saying Jagr's hitting 100 points or anything, but I don't think 70 is out of the question. He would easily be the best winger Sid's ever played with (sans the short time with Hossa) even at his age.

Of course this is all presuming Pgh would be a possible destination.

I wish I could say I knew the stats like you but I have only just recently been getting off work early enough to see the Pens play. Thanks for the info. Your knowledge has got me itching to see what Jagr is going to do more than ever.

Ha. I knew Colby's but had to look up Hilbert's. I just knew they both looked like legit 2nd line players at the time (though they were playing 1st) and since have fallen off the face of the earth (Colby putting up 29 points this past season with 79 games in Atlanta). Obviously age affects guys differently, so the Recchi comparison could never be 100% accurate, but I would think that if it affected Jags more, his talent could close the gap.

Regardless, this assumes that Jagr is giving it his all for 95% of the season, which he isn't exactly known to do.

If Jagr actually came back to the Burgh, I would probably piss myself in anticipation of seeing his first game. At this point, it's a pipe dream. If Jagr comes back to the NHL, I see him going to the highest bidder, and that definitely won't be the Penguins. As I said, people can change, but I generally don't believe it until I see it.

You're right about Pitt not being the highest bidder. I would hope Jagr would want to go to a contender more than just for money but thats unlikely but its all I've got as far as hope goes. I got about 30 Jagr RCs so I hope he can produce something at least. I am getting way ahead of myself haha I dont even know if he will be coming back or not.

A lot of us were right about Jagr back in 2010 and he is still going strong. How long will this guy be able to play?
