I don't think so. Remember when Singletary got the ax, and Tomsula was the interim coach for the last game of the season. Interviews with players after the game raved about how well prepared Tomsula made them for that game, well beyond the level of preparedness that Singletary ever had them achieve. I remember someone on defense indicating that Tomsula had a plan for every conceivable goal line situation and that was something that Singletary just didn't do. I don't know if Tomsula will be better than Harbaugh, but he most certainly will be leaps and bounds above what Singletary was.

I remember players raving about Singletary when he was the interim after Nolan, too. Means nothing.

@mattbarrows Obvious: Dropping off J Harbaugh; picking up J Martin @CharleyPeppers #49ERS front office is on private charter to Miami. What does it mean?

I haven't found anything about this. If "Big IF" 49ers trade him to Miami what do we get. IF it does happen I hope its a good player and draft pick.

I just want to keep Harbaugh. This will be a big mistake if we lose Harbaugh. This will back fire if we trade him. Just sign the guy.

Nick Saban. Second time in the league might be a charm. Our 3-4 defense would even be better.

Pat Fitzpatrick has always intrigued me as a HC in the NFL.

I'd take Nick Saban as HC in a second. I don't think he's interested in coming to the NFL though.

I'd take Bill Cower since the Niners are already good, and he might not have enough left in the tank to start from scratch.

They'd probably just promote Roman if Harbaugh left though (unfortunately; I'd want a defensive guy).

I think Saban has the football mind to be a HC in the NFL but I don't think he functions well in the NFL environment.

He strikes me as a prototypical college coach that needs that control they have to effectively be a head coach.

Completely disagree there. I want an offensive guy, pretty much always. I'd have zero qualms about the promotion of Roman.

Same here. The league is geared towards offense. The more stable your offensive philosophy is, the better.

Roman's the reason I'd want a defensive guy. I figure he can keep the offense going without a hitch (at least for 1 more season).

Im sick of hearing every day about this situation. Front office needs to sign him up long term or trade him or let him go. Enough is enough.

Now rumors are out that players are turning on him. These have to be false because no name came out and a lot of these players were on this team when they were losing. I cant see them wanting a change after all this winning.
