Ian Stewart- Colorado Rockies

Poor guy just can't find it with the Rockies. A lot of people seem to think that a change of scenery with do wonders for the kid.

Now, he would be a pretty good pickup for the Giants, but there are certainly cons invloved too.

The Good:

-The Giants could use a lefty bat in the lineup, Sabean has said that since the offseason.

-He could step right into 3B and have a Migg-E Teh Nada/Fontenot platoon.

-He's young (26), cheap (1st year arbitration) and wouldn't cost much players wise.

-Loads of potential, just needs to find it.


The Bad:

-Being on the Rockies, they would likely not want to sned him to us being a rival, we'd have to make the package really sweet.

-When Pablo gets back, what do we do? Can Stewart play SS, doubt it. But he can play second. But then what do you do with Franchez? Can he play SS, unlikely. But if he could, would you want all these guys switching positions.

-If he hasn't found it in Coors, what makes you think that he'd find it in AT&T?

I don't really see it happening, but it could be a possibility. For what it's worth, the Giants have been mentioned as a potential suitor.

tough call. we can crowd the outfield even more by moving huff to left, panda to 1st, stewart to third. though, im not a fan of that idea though. if we were to pick him up i think he'd be in a pinch hitter/occasional start role.
