Then trade him off

geez country you are ignorant , while you are holding on to KC for 28-34 mil you are precluding us to resign or sign ANYONE until he is signed away . how many FA's do we lose out on doing that ? how do we sign draft picks ? do you think GM's are stupid ?

For MONTHS you have been telling us how utterly worthless Cousins is.

Yet you want to try and tag and trade him??

I would love to see Bruce try it though. Knowing Kirk, he would sign the tender and tell the Broncos to tell the Redskins they can have a third string RB in exchange For Cousins AND our second rounder.

If your line of thinking is similar to Bruce Allen's, then you most definitely should not be the GM. The better approach would be to consider what allen would do and take the exact opposite path.

no because i wanted to keep Scot McCloughan

The only pro of him signing the FT is we MAY be able to trade him.

The con is rather huge...if we didn’t find a trade partner which would be contingent on a new contract, then we would owe him 35 million this season alone and we would get a compensatory pick in 2020 draft I believe.

We didn't get the hands down better QB, we didn't save the GOOBS of cap space, they got to hope we can salvage something out of this move more than an attempt to not regress, and the ability to say.. well atleast we didn't resign Cousins.

Side note: Philly just won the Super Bowl. Am I he only one that thinks this will prompt a winning off the field bonanza the likes of which we haven't seen since 2000??

but its dumb , you tag him that goes against the cap until we trade him . all the good FA's will be gone , some of our guys could be gone and for what ? a few mid rounders ?
