Trickett finished the game with 301 yards and two scores, completing 28 of his 44 pass attempts. Wendell Smallwood and Rushel Shell both went over the 100-yard mark, finishing the game with 123 and 110 yards, respectively, while Kevin White had his sixth consecutive 100-yard game after finishing with 13 grabs for 123 yards. Jordan Thompson also caught six passes for 109 yards.
It was the first time in school history WVU had two players run for 100 yards and two players go for more than 100 yards receiving in the same game.
For a HC known as a pass happy guy how much more balance could you ask for...
As I told BBW where this team has flaws is in its front 7...Kiawtowski and Tonkery and tackle and go side to side extremely well. but they are too slow and a bit undersized to get to the QB in blitz packages..same for the edge LBs...and they are too small in the front 3 to get any kind of push or rush off the edges...frustrating to watch and its a big reason why this team struggles on defense.......
