I don't know whose family member he killed to some of you because the amount of hate this guy got before today was incredible.

Well today considering it was his first NFL start at RT I think he played great, he had 1 illegal formation penalty but other than that his run and pass blocking was top notch. I'm not saying he deserves to start when Sambrillo comes back but the way you guys talked about him I was expecting a train wreck.

Agreed he did a great job today considering. Can't believe everything you hear from some others.

Michael Schofield is already credited with one of TV's most daring prison breaks.

Considering the reputation of the Vikings front 7, I expected to see 4-5 QB sacks of Manning. I think having only two is an improvement. I'd say the line looked much better than when I last saw it, but that was week 1. ;)

Schofield held us own but I can see where fans would be concerned. 3rd round pick, Our OL not exactly playing well and Schofield not getting in there in year two until injuries occur. Obvious reason for concern. Just think there was a lot of concern that he wasn''t exactly impressing the coaching staff with all those factors.

But it was nice to see him play ok in his first shot. Hopefully it continues and this builds some confidence for him.

Seemed to me that Schofield played a heck of a lot better than Ryan Harris. One particular run by Anderson I think, John Lynch pointed out how everyone on the offensive line had this great push, except for Harris who totally whiffed. And of course Harris' man completely blew up the play.

And I'm not just talking about yesterday, either. Harris has been bad all season. I'd love for Schofield to get a shot at right tackle after Ty comes back.

I don't blame people for having concern. Our last view of him was the preseason when they tried him at LT and he got abused left and right. Thankfully though he did look much better than expected and even opened up a couple of really nice holes in the run game. I honestly was a little disappointed in our RB's in this one as there were some great holes (at least compared to what we have had) and other than the great run by Hillman they didn't seem to break a ton of tackles. Usually they say in the run game it is the responsibility of the RB to make the first man miss. Can't expect everybody to be perfectly blocked every time.

Yeah- I think there was cause for concern there. Can't really fault those concerned. Just glad he played well enough to give us hop. About as good as you could have hope for in his first start.

Ryan Harris struggled.
