I'm little more optimistic on this kid and think (hope?) we got someone that wasn't drafted just due to injury. He was First Team All Big-Ten going in 2013. He was a top performer in the vertical and broad jump at the combine. He ran a 4.6 flat 40 as well.
I'm not saying he's the second coming, and all optimism is tempered considering it is coming from the resident team mouthpieces, but hopefully they found someone that can compete right away.
I doubt he's in the Vontaze Burfict category but (hopefully) he is a notch above the Reggie Myles, Kevin Kaesviharn and Jeromy Miles of the world.
