They had a nice roster last few years and that's one of the things that makes it great they have come up short. LOL The window is closing on them.i,m no niner,s fan,but they had a better year than 30 other nfl teams and usually are doing it consistent.
did way better than my team so i can,t judge them. They had a nice roster last few years and that's one of the things that makes it great they have come up short. LOL The window is closing on them.
Have to disagree here Shark. While the Niners had the highest avg yac, the Texans and Dolphins had more yds total and the Rams not far behind. To be fair, the Texans was only 1 yd more but Miami had by far the most yac yds. What do they all have in common? Shanahan's (Mike's) west coast system modified to today's game. As for Purdy, the 5 yd thing is just false. C'mon man. Not saying he's Mahomes but he makes all the throws he needs to. It isn't about Purdy here. Not saying Shanahan didn't fuck up a bit in the 3rd qtr there either but they were also facing heavy fronts from KC and were behind the chains. That is not what cost them this game. ST cost them, plain and simple.I thought the 9ers had it when there was that early interception right after halftime. When Shanny started inexplicably having Purdy throw the ball beyond 5 yards, I changed my stance immediately. I knew it was a matter of time with that trash playcalling (9ers led the league in YAC by a decent margin, Purdy is not that good of a QB... he should not be throwing the ball beyond 5 yards) that the 9ers D would tire and Mahomes would do Mahomes/Kelce things.

Not just the 1 pt from the missed P.A.T. but also the fluke bounce off the guys leg that gave KC an instant 7 points. That missed XP was pretty huge though. It would have forced KC to try and score a TD with 6 seconds left instead of just kicking the FG for the tie and OT. Chiefs may very well have scored there but not a sure thing.Yes I know the 1 point mattered on special teams.... but c'mon.... their kicker (just like Butker) was making some long field goals as well. I hate to blame that coming down to an extra point when you have to look at everything in the aggregate.

Didnt the punt debacle happen to one of harbaughs teams in the nfccg against the giants too? They've had success but are snakebit on the big stage
