I don't think Utah is a viable playoff team either. If they find a way there they get undressed.

There aren't currently any elite teams in the Pac. Oregon is good. Dangerous. Just not elite.

The team with the best path back to elite status? Hard to say. USC would have to change coaches IMO, but their talent is there. Ducks recruit well, but haven't been able to translate that yet. Petersen seems stuck in advanced mid major mode and can't find the killer instinct to fire his under producing staff and take another step forward. And Utah is Utah.
