Yes, but come Sunday, no way you root for the Bengals to lose. Come week 5 and the Bengals are sitting at 1-4, then absolutely, lose the rest of 'em, but not until they've reached the point of no return.

Yeah, sadly, even then, I won't be able to actually root for them to lose. If they do lose, then I'll know it's for the best, but I'll still be rooting for them. I can't help it.

Not me. Late last season I was rooting for the Bengals to lose. I distinctly remember being irate late in the game against the Saints until we were bailed out by our lineman (don't remember who) jumping offsides.

I try, logically, I know we should lose for the good of the team.

yea, I'm torn.

I'm just watching to see if Dalton can grow into an NFL QB.

We won't draft Luck even if we have the #1 overall pick, so you may as well root for them to win as many as we can.

Per ESPN, a couple weeks ago, Mikey boy attempted to contact Palmer on several occasions in an attempt to convince him to come back. So, apparently he's not entirely sold on Dalton either. Let Dalton carry the team to a 1-15 record with a very good defense against an easy schedule, and his time will be up with the Bengals.

That said, we've beaten this topic to death. You're wrong, I'm right. Let's just leave it at that.

We might draft a QB with the #1 pick, if that QB is the best player overall available when we pick. Dalton will make a splendid backup QB if we do. If Dalton is some kind of mental freak of nature that completes more passes than anyone ever thought possible, wins lots of games, and dumps his fiance for lady gaga and katy perry, get his nipples pierced and sporting a bro-hawk, then maybe the odds can be broken and the force will be with us. But all of those things about the same probability of coming true.

As for Luck, after watching the Bengals flounder back to the cellar, I don't think Andrew Luck will want to have anything to do with us. He is the best QB prospect to come out for some time. We might be able to trade the pick the way SD and Giants traded when Eli refused to play for the Chargers. But that is about it. maybe I'm wrong about that, but after lighting things up in college the kid might have that kind of leverage.
