Well folks. I had quite a scare. Not sure if you noticed or not but I have not been posting during my favorite time of the year in sports the NHL playoffs.
I had 3 lesion's on the inside of my mouth more specifically my lower gum due to dipping for the last 20+ years. I was at the dentist 2 weeks ago for a normal cleaning and much to my alarm I was instructed that I needed to go to a oral surgeon and get a biopsy. I guess it was not that much of a surprise but completely threw me for a loop.
I have 2 kids ages 14 and 12 and a wonderful and stunning wife. I love her more each and every day. Not only was she a complete rock for me during this process but she showed that love that only a spouse could ever give.
The process is really rough and time is critical. I did what I was told and thought for sure I was gonna be dead in a year.
My wife stood strong and held my hand and basically handled everything for me. The love I have always had for her was magnified by 20 easily though this experience.
I got the results back tonight and I am very very lucky. I do not have cancer but need to stop dipping right now. It has been 10 days since I last dipped and as hard as the withdrawals are I am determined to never touch the stuff again.
All in all today was basically the best day in my life. I have a new lease on life.
