Suppose that if and when the Giants win the World Series Tim Lincecum is the MVP. He shuts them down in both of his starts and shuts them down in relief in the clinching game. Is Timmy then the face of the MLB? I know that apparently the MLB wants a player to represent them as the face, and it seems that this is what they wanted to do by sucking Strasburg's wang 24/7. He certainly fits the mold by being young and exciting and having overcome a rough patch to once again become great, so I'd assume that even though ESPN won't like that he's not on the Red Sox, Yankees, or Mets, he'd automatically become the face of the MLB. What does everybody else think about this?

A young, great pitcher that does that is probably going to become the face.

(Did filosofy bring you here? I didn't realize until last night the SF Giants bunker down here)

Filo brought the core of the ESPN board here and since we have cherry-picked the good posters from there to post here.

If your scenario happens, I think the face of the MLB will HAVE to be...

Derek Jeter...

I think MLB would love Buster Posey to be the next face of baseball

Right now I think it's Pujols , I think Hamilton's past and Timmy's weed problems have MLB praying for a Big series from Buster .
