A source confirmed Saturday afternoon that Florida transfer Walter Pitchford had decided to continue his college basketball career at Nebraska.
Pitchford, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward, played in 13 games as a freshman last season for Florida, but announced he was transferring in April because he wanted to be closer to his ailing grandfather in Michigan. Pitchford was 3-of-11 on field goals and grabbed four rebounds.
Florida played in Omaha in the NCAA Tournament’s first and second rounds in March and advanced to the Elite Eight for a second consecutive year. Pitchford played in both games in Omaha – both lopsided Florida victories.

16 returning starters. Defense will be better. Guaranteed.

All the offense has to do is produce about the same as last year to prove you wrong.

But it won't. It will be better as well. More experience all the way around. Better talent on the line.
