Ha

I was beginning to wonder when you'd pop out of mediocrity.

They were tougher picks than usual. When I lost Washington I thought "Here we go".

I know you are not really asking how to do it, but when I did it on ESPN, I just created a spreadsheet and put in everyone's picks with a column in between for an if statement, =IF((B2=A2),1,0) (going off memory)

Column A holds all the winning team names

Column A holds the winning team names A2 = Nebraska
Column B hold the person's picks B2 = Nebraska
Column C holds the if statement =IF((B2=A2),1,0)

Cell C2 would have either a ONE or a ZERO in it.

In cell C1 I have =sum(c2:c21) which gives me a total. Highest total wins, lowest total loses.

The trick is making sure everyone's picks match their picks, there are no misspellings from my fat fingers, and you have the correct winning team.

I do it all in a notebook.

It is not that technical or complicated.

Is it bad that I understand why that would make it so much easier?

No I just use basically the same formula in Excel to calculate my proposals.

That way I have a basic template I just add in our costs and margins in hidden cells and the client can add in quantities and get their cost.

Not computer nerd, Microsoft Excel nerd I guess.
