How many studs

should you have on a fantasy team in 2014? The best I have seen is 3 but also 2 in many cases. In a recent mock I did Rodgers and Ball were my studs, and then I had to go for the next tier with Garcon/Cobb and then Ray Rice in fifth, who has the ability to bounce back.

If he doesnt pan out and I draft him, then there's Anderson. Idk but I have not seen much timeshare under Manning, even in Indy. If its not Ball, it has to be Anderson. so just 1 stud then for me I guess. I have to have some bellcow.

His potential is a better than most potentials. This is one I'd let Brees slide on.

As to the overall question. . It really depends on your definition of stud. Are we talking the elite players at each position? Or just the guys that are no doubts about it, every week starters?

If it's the former and you've got anything more than 2 (not counting K, D/St).. your doing very well
If it's the latter, ideally, you'd want at least one at every position. 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, and 1 TE... All guys that you don't take out regardless of match up. Obviously you could try for 2 RB's, or 2 WR's, and play match ups at TE.. but you get the point. And yes, It's very possible to have this in a competitive redraft league., without gambling on the next big thing. Gamble on them after assembling the "studs"

Regardless your top 4-5 picks should be studly enough to be in your starting lineup every week, even when they play Seattle

Scratch that Cruz not Cobb. Well it appears I drafted two elite players only and one that could return to elite status(Rice, but prob will be gone early 5th). Its hard to get more than that in drafts this year.
