please find Slay v2.0 in this draft... let the kid get his feet wet in part-time duty in order to build his confidence. + Maybe the new kid might want to spend some time with Rod Woodson for a few days ?
If suh is retained, lions need several days offensive lineman, a linebacker, a couple of dlinemen, another CB, and prater to resign, a RB as well if Bush is cut.
last thing we need from this team is another HUGE contract, meaning REVIS.
Sign Suh and draft/develop CB's
Calvin's contract is set-up where we get 2 more years from him, 2015/2016 seasons, and if they see fit to part ways with him in 2017 for whatever reason its only a 4.8M dead $ out of 20+M cap hit.
If we don't sign Suh, Revis would have no reason to play here cause we'd suck and he wouldn't be half as good playing behind our Suhless D line as he would in many other places.
Hah didn't mean several days, meant several. Game is won with depth on the dline and oline. I'm all for adding a running back, although a stud is definitely not needed. Besides fumbling too much, bell would be just fine with an adequate offensive line. Running game is a huge priority, rb is not. Not a fan of wasting a first or second round pick on a RB. Lions have did that too much in the last few years. Decent RBS are a dime a dozen. Good tackles are not. Rb is one of the worst picks possible. There's not a RB available in the draft that would be worth it.
I cant agree. RBs are not a dime a dozen. Have you seen how many sorry RBs there is around the league? Using that logic, why would Seattle or Dallas even think about keeping theirs? Before Lacy, why did GB have so much trouble running the ball? Why does Monte Ball suck? Can the Browns run it? Could McCoy's backup be a starter? Is Randle the next 1,700 yard rusher in Dallas? Was Morris good this year? Would Bell even start in Miami? What about Thomas and Miller?
Was Hyde good? Or that one weak RB for the Rams? Would you be happy with Knile Davis or Starks? Should I continue? Lol
