Anything close to the line (and behind it) probably wouldn't be a HR at AT&T, due to the height of the walls not in LF. (The map is "true" distance, so a 15 foot wall makes a big difference.) Most of the HRs to CF and RF last year wouldn't have been HRs at AT&T.

I don't know how to generate the map and overlay - could you generate one for 2011? Pretty please?

Humbly at your service:

Here's the link:

ESPN Home Run Tracker :: Home run tracking and distance measurement

Pick the year (upper right), and find your player (also upper right - NL or AL). From the list, click on the player. His chart should come up. Above the chart is a dropdown box to overlay a park. When the player-year-park chart comes up, right click to "Copy Image Location". Paste image using SportsHoopla's image icon. Voila.

Thx. I see that he would have lost about 25% of his 31 HRs if he had hit them all at AT&T. Ouch.

Looks that way. But maybe since he'll see only lefties for the most part, he'll be more of a dead pull hitter. ATT is a fairly normal park for a RHH. His dingers to left were relatively unaffected.

Hopefully he'll tide us over till one of the young guys breaks through.

Also, this just in: The Giants only play half their games at AT&T.
