They should change the rules so that sub 500 teams do NOT make the playoffs. Give that slot to the next highest record, not some losers.

They should change the rules so that sub 500 teams do NOT make the playoffs. Give that slot to the next highest record, not some losers.

Look at the wild card races. The bottom spots are all being fought for by teams at or below 500 too.

Right now you are talking about keeping the division winning 7-8 Bucs out of the playoffs in favor of the 7-8 Seahawks. In the AFC, you would be keeping the division winning leading Jags out of the playoffs for the 7-8 Patriots.

When you let almost half the league into the playoffs, you are going to have years where below 500 teams make the playoffs. Just the way it is.

I think the Jags and Bucs both win out and make the debate about sub .500 division winners a moot point for another year.
