How is the Big 10 Network going to work?

My parents have Dish Network and live in Norfolk........they want to know if this football season they will just start getting the Big 10 Network, or if they will have to pay extra to get it?

I have Dirty Direct TV, for now, and it comes with our regular channels for free, not sure about Dish Netwerk

But you get it for free with your channels right? See I'm assuming living in Nebraska (especially living by the Iowa border) they will start getting the Big 10 Network as well.

I have at&t uverse, but as long as they have the dish 200 pkg they should have it.

JJM. We didn't have it at first, 25 miles south of Madison. But I think all the cable companies worked out their bitch fits with the BTN's prices, so you should be fine.

I have Directv also and it is included, but I can absolutely guarantee you that your folks will have to pay for the sports package in order to get it on Dish Network. Dish doesn't even give you your local regional fox sports net channel without subscribing to the sports pack. I'm sure the cable companies all across Nebraska will work out deals with the BTN, but given how Dish treats the regional fox sports networks, I can't see them giving the channel to any Nebraska residents without them subscribing to the sports pack....

My parents' 1 year renewal date is coming up for Dish Network.........they need to decide whether or not to renew it. They would like to get the Big 10 Network.........plain and simple.

As for Dish Network and the Fox Sports channels.......my parents get all the FSN channels as well as all of the Alternates. Dish Network does include the Big 10 Network for free right now for people who live in the Big 10 area........I just hope they extend that area to Nebraska this year.

You mean the whole state of Nebraska will not get BTN unless they pay more, even though Nebraska will be a part of Big Ten Region.
